Online: obu.edu Ouachita Baptist University has been a rigorous, Christ-centered learning community focused on providing outstanding academic training and career preparation for more than 137 years. Located on the banks of the Ouachita River in Arkadelphia – an hour south of Little Rock and minutes from scenic DeGray Lake State Park – Ouachita is a nationally ranked, liberal arts university with more than 1700 residential and online students enrolled in the 60+ undergrad, six graduate and 16 preprofessional programs offered in our seven academic schools. At Ouachita, our distinctive approach to Christian higher education affords students a transformational college experience within a caring community where they’re valued and known. Faculty provide undergrads with access to hands-on research programs, internships, field work and connections with potential employers; this personal approach to learning contributes to 99% of our most recent graduates being employed or enrolled in graduate school within six months of graduation. With 98% of our undergrads living on campus, we offer lots of ways for students to get involved and make the most of their time at Ouachita outside the classroom, too – including more than 50 clubs and organizations, 18 intramural sports, special annual events like Tiger Tunes or Tiger Traks and countless ministry and volunteer opportunities throughout the year.
