HP in Conway

Age: 26

Major: Business Administration: Marketing

How easy was it for you to get a job in your industry? When I was graduating, HP was building a new facility in Arkansas. They were hiring lots of talent and I landed the job just a few months after completing my degree. Things aren’t always that easy, so stay connected in your area. Know which companies are looking to grow and what industries are booming.

Why did you choose your major? I’ve always enjoyed seeing through the eyes of the consumer and identifying their buying habits.

What is something you learned in college that prepared you for this job? I was fortunate enough to play football at Harding and it took up a lot of my time. I had to develop a way to effectively manage my time between friends, football and staying ahead in academics. It’s so important to balance. Commit to that balance and stay consistent to it.
