Tyler, a native of Russellville, began his military career as a field artilleryman. After a few years, he seized an opportunity to switch units and learn a new job, becoming an 88M. Moving to a support battalion, Tyler gained insight into the crucial role of logistics in military operations. As a motor transport operator, he understood firsthand how essential it is to ensure soldiers, supplies and equipment reach their destinations on time for missions to succeed. 

Whether coordinating air or ground transportation, Tyler ensures tasks are assigned promptly and deliveries are timely. In the Army National Guard, the reliability of 88Ms like Tyler is key to operational success.

What's the job?
The U.S. Army Transportation Corps' 88M Motor Transport Operators are disciplined, technical experts who provide the Army with motor transportation capabilities to support the movement of personnel and cargo. They operate all tactical wheeled vehicles and equipment over rough terrain and roadways in support of combat operations.
