This includes aircraft parts, vehicle parts, uniform items, etc. Parts are ordered, received, issued to the customer, and the old part is turned in and either routed to depot for repair or properly disposed of per the disposition instructions.”

What's the job?
Material management specialists handle complex supply systems to keep track of everything we use, from small things like paper clips to big machines worth millions of dollars. They make sure everything is accounted for and ready when our Airmen need it. It’s a very detailed and important job!

Qualifications:
- Basic Knowledge of mathematics
- Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
- Must be at least 17 on the date of enlistment
- You must also meet several requirements concerning your background, overall health and other standards set by the Air Force.

Daily Duties
► Manage, administer and operate supply systems and activities in order to provide the necessary equipment and supplies for Air Force operations
► Perform item and monetary accounting and inventory stock control
► Plan and schedule material storage and distribution
► Control and operate the remote processing station (RPS)
