Job Title: Field Service Engineer

Employer: Haas Factory Outlet, A Division of Phillips Corporation

Bailie Sparks is a second-generation machinist, first introduced to the career by her mother, who has worked in the manufacturing industry for over 30 years. Entering the male-dominated field felt possible to Bailie as she watched her mom build a successful career, and followed in her footsteps. Although her high school didn’t offer machinist courses before graduation, Bailie knew she wanted to enter the field from an early age and decided to train with Haas Certification Training through Haas Factory Outlet: A Division of Phillips Corporation.

“My favorite part about the training process was all the different jobs I was able to experience and learn from,” Bailie said. “While I have learned a lot so far the biggest thing I learned was about myself. I learned that I am capable of succeeding in this career and that with a lot of dedication and hard work, I am.”

Bailie’s day-to-day tasks as a field service engineer is to make sure customers are getting the most out of the machines she works on. From new machine installations to troubleshooting and handling repairs, her daily tasks require exceptional attention to detail.

“I love the opportunities the manufacturing industry has available to anyone with or without experience. With the growth this industry sees every year the possibilities are endless. The careers within manufacturing are stable and rewarding!”
