Does a high-paying job after completing a two-year, mostly online degree sound good to you? Then Arkansas Northeastern College’s Steel Tech program might be the perfect fit.
With many steel companies now based in northeast Arkansas, the industry is growing, and there are new jobs up for grabs. People working in this field are responsible for manufacturing steel products that are made into things like railroad tracks, major appliances, outdoor sculptures and popular stainless steel items.
ANC's new program was created to help Arkansas companies meet the demand for trained steel technician. The steel tech course is online, except for the first two weeks of the first semester and the entire last semester. Upon completion, students can go on to become structural iron and steel workers, iron workers, riggers, fitters/welders and steel fabricators—and the average first-year wage of an ANC Steel Tech graduate is $93,218. Pretty awesome, right?
